Homeless Detective/Phantom Platoon Copyright

I have completed a screenplay called THE HOMELESS DETECTIVE that I would like to submit for consideration.

THE HOMELESS DETECTIVE is an action screenplay written as a mini-series.

Logline: A disgraced plastic surgeon joins the Marine Corp and develops special powers after a roadside bomb in Fallujah turns his life around. A traumatic brain injury gives him special powers to communicate with his “phantom platoon.”

Synopsis: THE HOMELESS DETECTIVE is written as an American TV series which takes us through the life of young plastic surgeon
Joeseph DaVinci set in Los Angeles.

His life changes after he botches a facelift on a famous Hollywood celebrity. He loses his wife in a freak car accident then loses his license during a medical board hearing.

Distraught, DiVinci joins the Marines as a Medic and Intelligence Officer. During a mission to clear out an enemy stronghold, an IED explodes under his armored vehicle killing all 8 Marines in his platoon. DiVinci is the lone survivor but sustains a severe brain injury that gives him special powers to communicate with his “ghost platoon.”

DiVinci’s injury makes him unemployable.  He creates a new life under the Seventh Street train yard in downtown Los Angeles.

On a starry night, DiVinci hears an explosion on the Seventh Street Bridge.  An LAPD officer is trapped in her car after it runs over a terrorist planted bomb.  DiVinci rescues the officer.

The cop and the homeless DiVinci become a Sherlock Holmes undercover duo solving crimes with the help of DiVinci’s Ghost Platoon.

I graduated from Long Beach State with a BA degree in Political Science and Journalism. I taught High School History, served in the U.S. Marine Corps Press Department. Extensive travel with the Formula One circuit, worked News Production for NBC and KNBC News in Burbank.

I’m submitting this request for review because I have not seen a series that could bring many life lessons together with action plots that could keep viewers nailed to their TV Screens
